Today’s resource rounds out my Top 5 (outside of QPW) so far. 😉
It is what Mariela Maya had to offer. Sadly she has passed. Here is a link to the memorial message about her ‘return to the stars’ that shares a little bit about her.
Her website mayankin.com is kept online, some of it outdated, but it is still a treasure trove of information.
The first offering I would like to mention is her book Practical Guide to the Tzolkin.
When I sat down to write my synopsis there were simply too many things I wanted to highlight. Honestly, Mariela herself says it best in her preface to the book:
The second offering is the CD Mariela created. It is comprised of short musical meditations, each one “inspired by the archetypes of the Dreamspell”. This is one of my favorite ways to incorporate the daily wavespell energies into my day. 🎶
And lastly, I personally love to embody the daily glyph and tone tangibly through things like clothing and jewelry, color and shape. On day four (foundational energy) I might wear my square selenite necklace, on day eleven (shedding energy) I might wear my snake earrings, on a Yellow Warrior day, a yellow sweater. But it’s extra special when I can incorporate my own glyph! And you can do this too through the Handcrafts section of the mayankin.com website (under the Shop tab). You can look up your own glyph and see what is available. These were my 3 selections for my glyph:
Final Note:
I just wanted to share, that I seem to be experiencing a particularly challenging time in my life right now, and working on these posts, in the hope that they might help someone, has been my sanctuary over the last several days. So thank you all for keeping me sane. 😜 It gave me a purpose, and something to focus on when I felt lost in a sea of emotion. Blessings for all your heartfelt comments. I am so grateful to be a part of this Tribe!
